The GN 9000 is currently the only totally cordless headset available, (which means there is no need for a small transmitter in a shirt pocket or clipped to a belt).. The small lighweight transmitter is built into the headset its self, it has a range of up to 10m and a talk time up to 7 hours. Battery re-charge time is 3 hours. The headset re-charges each time it is replaced onto it's base. It has volume and mute controls on the headset and like all the cordless headsets, it is compatible with virtually every telephone system. As long as your handset connects to your phone using a standard RJ11 connection, then this unit is compatible with your telephone. The GN9000 is also available using cutting edge Bluetooth technology. However Headsets4Less feel that for most applications Bluetooth technology is not yet advanced enough to warrant the extra cost and arguably lower spec than the GN9000 DECT.

GN Elipse DECT is a high powered unit giving a range of up to 150 meters. The Elipse does not come supplied with a headset, which means you can choose from almost the entire GN Netcom range, for your prefered headset style, or add cordless functionality to your current GN Netcom headset. Just the same as the GN9000 above, the Elipse can be connected to any telephone that has a handset that plugs into an RJ11 socket. The optional Hookswitch, even allows you to answer and hang up the phone when away from you desk. Your headset actually plugs into a small remote unit that is carried in your shirt pocket or clipped to a belt. This small remote transmitter will give you 12 hours of continuous talk time.

Plantronics CA40 is a DECT cordless headset with a range of up to 50m. Like the GN Elipse the CA40 uses a lightweight remote unit, this has a 7-position tone control and a choice of power modes. The DECT adapter allows you to switch between headset and handset at the touch of a button, and it has a 12-hour talk-time designed to last the whole working day. The CA40 incorporates the base station and the remote transmitter, you can then choose your favoured headset to use with it. You may choose any headset from the Plantronics range, including the new version of the DuoSet, the DuoSet FireFly. The FireFly features an in-use indicator light on the end of the boom. If the headset is to be used in a noisy or busy environment, then choose a headset with a noise cancelling microphone, this will cut out about 75% of the background noise. With it's 50m range the CA40 will give you the freedom to wander into noisy areas of the office (or car park), where a noise cancelling microphone is very much at home.
